2024 Publication and Special Achievement Contests

Deadline: April 11, 2024 for material published between April 8, 2023 and April 11, 2024. (Yearbook deadline is June 7, 2024)

Entry / Membership Fees-

Special Achievement Contests: NESPA members pay $1.50 per Special Achievement Contest entry; non-members pay $2.50 per entry.

Publication Contests: NESPA members are free; non-members pay $15 per publication.

NESPA membership is $50 per school (not per publication) and includes conference registration for 10 attendees.

Magazine- Artwork; Cover design; Fiction; Nonfiction; Photography; Poetry; Typographical design

Newspaper- Advertisement; Artwork, cartoon; Bylined column; Editorial; Feature page design; Feature photo; Feature story; Informational graphic; News page design; News photo; News series; News story; Opinion page design; Personality profile; Photo illustration; Review; Special section; Sports page design; Sports photo; Sports series; Sports story; Typographical design

Online/Multimedia- Blog; Homepage design; Podcast; Slideshow with audio; Slideshow with photos; Video; Coverage, writing, and design categories for online/multimedia are the same as for broadcast and print.
